Health Data Aggregation and Management

Open mHealth, a non-profit startup and open source system that's making mobile health data more accessible. Code produced by Open mHealth is open-sourced through the Apache 2.0 license; this means that the code base can be adapted and evolved by the community members, and it also gives the people who uses the platform the ability to customize it for their specific needs. Open mHealth helps healthcare organizations in 6 ways: by standardizing, storing, integrating, sharing, processing and visualizing the health data.

David will talk about his vision of telling your health story and share more details about how Open mHealth is tackling this issue, including their latest platform Shimmer - which is the first open-source health data aggregator.

Penn - Wharton Health and Wellness Meetup

Hope you are having a great summer!  I just moved back to NYC after two years of business school in Philly.  Met up with my classmate Michael Tedori (WG '15) and we thought it would be a great idea to get everyone interested in the health/wellness tech together in NYC.  We did a Philly meet up within the Penn community in May, had a great turnout, and would love to extend this lovely community to health & wellness tech industry professionals in NYC.  The purpose of the Meetup is to get a sense of what other people are up to, share ideas professionally and informally, and serve as a way to stay connected in the future.

Feel free to invite other NYC friends interested in the Health/Wellness+Tech space.  Looking forward to seeing you there next week!

Please RVSP by replying directly to me ASAP pearl.hou@gmail.com

All the best,
